NW Deployment Build Manager, Global Network Delivery

AWS Infrastructure Services designs plans and delivers all AWS global infrastructure. The Global Network Delivery (GND) team within Infrastructure Services is responsible for delivering network capacity across new and existing data centre builds globally. GND sits at the intersection of infrastructure engineering capacity planning and physical build execution; translating demand signals into commissioned network capacity that AWS customers and services depend on.

We at Amazon Data Services India Private Limited (ADSIPL) are looking to hire a highly motivated best-in-class Network Deployment Build Lead to join our growing team within its infrastructure operations. The candidate will work with minimum supervision in a dynamic environment to drive the stability and sustainability of our next-generation networks and to develop innovative ways to automate and scale our network as we expand.

The position responsibilities will include build and scaling support of several data center locations of ADSIPL in India . The Network Deployment Build Manager will lead team of highly qualified techs and will work closely with both internal customers of ADSIPL and external vendors to facilitate smooth project execution

About the team

- Experience managing multiple projects prioritizing planning and managing time
- Knowledge of project management tools and software
- 10 years of experience in data centre network infrastructure structured cabling or network deployment
- Strong working knowledge of network deploy processes including vendor management resource management
- Develop improve and share deploybest practices across the region and with peers globally

- 3 years of managing technical teams with significant personnel management experience and examples of developing engineers and building successful teams experience
- Experience building measures and metrics and developing reporting solutions
- Experience in driving end to end delivery and communicating results to senior leadership
- Associates degree in a relevant field (e.g. Computer Science Networking Engineering) or experience with cabling infrastructure best practices and methodologies
- Experience in a network build delivery or infrastructure deployment organization at a hyper scale cloud provider
- Familiarity with multiple data centre build types across new regions capacity expansions and network upgrades
