Role Outline

Responsible for designing operating and optimizing the enterprise network infrastructure across global office locations and cloud environments. Ensures secure reliable and scalable connectivity to support business operations collaboration and cloud services.

Main Accountabilities

Dimensions

Network Architecture & Design

  • Design and maintain global WAN/LAN architecture including SD-WAN ZeroTrus and VPN solutions.
  • Define network standards segmentation models and topology documentation.
  • Plan and execute network upgrades expansions and migrations.

Connectivity & Performance

  • Ensure high availability and performance of network services across all sites.
  • Monitor bandwidth usage latency and packet loss using network performance tools.
  • Optimize routing and traffic flow for cloud applications and remote access.

Security & Compliance

  • Collaborate with InfoSec to implement network security policies (e.g. firewall rules NAC).
  • Support secure remote access solutions (VPN ZTNA).
  • Ensure compliance with internal and external regulatory requirements.

Operations & Troubleshooting

  • Lead root cause analysis and resolution of network incidents.
  • Maintain documentation runbooks and escalation procedures.
  • Coordinate with local IT teams and vendors for site-level support.

Vendor & Stakeholder Management

  • Manage relationships with telecom providers hardware vendors and MSPs.
  • Evaluate and recommend network technologies and services.
  • Act as the point of contact for network-related escalations and planning.

Monitoring & Reporting

  • Implement and maintain network monitoring tools (e.g. SolarWinds PRTG).
  • Provide regular reporting on network health capacity and risk.
  • Support audits and assessments related to network infrastructure.

Challenges

  • Supporting a network across global locations and time zones for employees in multiple countries.
  • Ensuring consistent connectivity across global sites.
  • Managing bandwidth and latency for cloud apps.
  • Coordinating upgrades and outages with minimal disruption.
  • Securing network traffic without impacting performance.

Qualifications Knowledge Skills and Experience

  • 10-12 years in enterprise networking preferably in global or multi-site environments.
  • CCNP certified handson on router/switch config/troubelsooting.
  • Network monitoring tools (SolarWinds PRTG).
  • Expertise in Cisco ZScaler Azure or similar platforms.
  • Strong understanding of SD-WAN MPLS VPN and cloud connectivity.
  • Experience with network monitoring and performance tools.
  • Familiarity with network automation and scripting (e.g. Python Ansible) is a plus.
