JD L2 Network Engineer

Role Overview

We are looking for a skilled Network Engineer with strong hands-on experience in Cisco networking technologies. The candidate should be proficient in routing switching (Core Distribution Access) and Cisco wireless solutions and capable of supporting enterprise network environments. The role also requires client handling experience and coordination with on-site field teams for issue resolution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design implement and support Cisco-based network infrastructure including routers and switches (Core Distribution Access layers)

  • Manage and troubleshoot Cisco Wireless environments (WLC Access Points)

  • Perform network monitoring troubleshooting and incident resolution

  • Provide L2/L3 support for network-related issues

  • Act as a primary point of contact for the client.

  • Coordinate with Field Services / Hands & Feet teams for on-site support (hardware cabling replacements)

  • Participate in KT sessions documentation and transition activities

  • Ensure SLA adherence and follow incident/change management processes

  • Maintain network documentation topology diagrams and reports

Required Skills & Experience
  • Hands-on experience in Cisco Routers (ISR/ASR) and Switches (Catalyst/Nexus)

  • Knowledge of networking protocols: BGP OSPF EIGRP

  • Strong understanding of VLANs STP HSRP/VRRP ACLs NAT

  • Experience with Cisco Wireless (WLC Access Points)

  • Experience with Cisco Video Conferencing.

  • Strong troubleshooting skills

  • Client handling and stakeholder communication experience

  • Experience working with global teams

  • Coordination with field support teams

Preferred Skills
  • Basic knowledge of network security (Firewall VPN NAC)

  • Experience with monitoring tools (SolarWinds PRTG)

  • Understanding of ITIL processes

  • Exposure to SD-WAN MPLS or WAN technologies
