Job description

The Team:

Hitachi Ltd. is seeking a talented Network Engineer to design implement and maintain secure and reliable network infrastructure. This role is crucial for ensuring seamless connectivity and optimal performance across our global operations.

The Role:
* Design configure and deploy network devices including routers switches firewalls and load balancers.
* Monitor network performance identify issues and implement proactive solutions to ensure high availability and reliability.
* Troubleshoot complex network problems including connectivity performance and security-related incidents.
* Implement and maintain network security policies and procedures including access control lists VPNs and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
* Perform regular network audits and assessments to ensure compliance with industry standards and internal policies.
* Develop and maintain comprehensive network documentation including network diagrams configurations and operational procedures.
* Collaborate with other IT teams and business units to understand requirements and provide network solutions.
* Participate in on-call rotation for network support and incident response.
* Evaluate and recommend new network technologies and solutions to improve efficiency and security.

What youll bring:
* Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field.
* Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Network Engineer in an enterprise environment.
* Strong understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP OSPF BGP EIGRP MPLS etc.) and network services (DNS DHCP).
* Proficiency with Cisco networking equipment (routers switches firewalls) is essential.
* Experience with network security best practices and technologies (e.g. VPNs firewalls IDS/IPS).
* Familiarity with network monitoring tools and techniques.
* Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
* Relevant industry certifications (e.g. CCNA CCNP JNCIP) are highly desirable.
* Experience with cloud networking (AWS Azure GCP) is a plus.
