We are seeking an experienced Microsoft Security professional for an urgent Contract-to-Hire opportunity. The ideal candidate will have 36 years of experience with strong hands-on expertise in Microsoft Defender EDR/XDR and Microsoft Purview.
Configure administer and optimize Microsoft Defender for Endpoint and Defender XDR.
Investigate security alerts incidents malware and endpoint threats.
Perform threat hunting using KQL and develop custom detections.
Manage endpoint security policies including EDR antivirus attack surface reduction firewall and device control.
Support vulnerability management and incident response activities.
Configure and manage Microsoft Purview DLP sensitivity labels retention audit and insider risk capabilities.
Develop security dashboards runbooks operating procedures and client deliverables.
Collaborate with security operations compliance and client stakeholders.
36 years of experience in cybersecurity or security operations.
Hands-on experience with Microsoft Defender for Endpoint/EDR Microsoft Defender XDR and Microsoft Purview.
Strong KQL and advanced threat-hunting skills.
Experience with endpoint incident investigation and remediation.
Knowledge of DLP data classification sensitivity labels and information protection.
Strong communication documentation and client-facing skills.
Immediate or short-notice availability preferred.
Experience with Microsoft Sentinel Intune Entra ID Defender for Office 365 or Defender for Cloud Apps.

Required Skills:
We are seeking an experienced Intune and Microsoft Defender for Endpoint (MDE) specialist for the design and deployment of target-state endpoint security architecture. The candidate will translate assessment findings into a comprehensive Intune/MDE architecture identifying prerequisites dependencies and implementation considerations across mobile device management (MDM) mobile application management (MAM) Windows endpoint management security baselines compliance policies and device restrictions. This role will define and execute a structured pilot across representative users devices and applications - establishing success criteria for device compliance restrictions and end-user experience - and will validate enrollment device status and user impact refining policies based on pilot outcomes. The candidate will also work on phased wave-based rollout of Intune device-management controls across migrated users and devices coordinating cutover activities stakeholder communications and adoption/risk tracking followed by hands-on hypercare support to resolve issues manage exceptions and continuously tune configurations while monitoring device compliance and policy status enterprise-wide. Strong hands-on expertise with Microsoft Intune Defender for Endpoint Windows endpoint security conditional access and change management in complex enterprise environments is essential.
