Position: ME/QC Engineer (Field Testing Laboratory)
Department: Quality Control / Material Engineering
Reporting To: Project Manager / Quality Manager
Role Purpose:
The ME/QC Engineer shall be responsible for conducting field and laboratory testing of construction materials maintaining quality control records ensuring compliance with project specifications and supporting quality assurance activities for construction projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct field and laboratory testing of soil aggregates concrete cement steel and other construction materials.
Ensure testing activities are carried out in accordance with relevant standards specifications and project requirements.
Maintain testing records laboratory registers and quality documentation.
Monitor quality control procedures and recommend corrective actions when required.
Prepare test reports quality reports and material compliance records.
Coordinate with site engineers consultants and project teams regarding testing requirements.
Verify material quality before use in construction activities.
Ensure calibration and maintenance of laboratory equipment and testing instruments.
Assist in quality audits inspections and compliance reviews.
Monitor material sampling testing schedules and reporting timelines.
Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards within the laboratory and project site.
Educational Qualification:
Diploma in Civil Engineering.
Requirements
Minimum 2 years of professional experience in similar work.
Experience in field testing laboratory operations and quality control activities.
Experience in testing of soil aggregates concrete cement steel and other construction materials.
Knowledge of IS Codes testing procedures and quality assurance requirements.
Experience in preparation of laboratory reports and quality documentation.
Desired Skills:
Knowledge of construction materials and testing methods.
Familiarity with laboratory equipment and testing procedures.
Understanding of quality assurance and quality control systems.
Good documentation and report preparation skills.
Attention to detail and analytical abilities.
Basic computer proficiency in MS Office and reporting tools.
