As a Mechanical Engineer youll leverage your strong foundation in physics mathematics and materials science to process and resolve mechanical problems design and implement custom mechanical tooling and associated processes and enable the handling assembly and disassembly of parts components sub-assemblies and final assemblies throughout the product life cycle. Youll be responsible for designing developing and modifying mechanical engineering layouts schematics and specifications. You will oversee manufacturing and installation processes ensuring adherence to industry standards and regulations-- and youll coordinate the procurement and assembly of mechanical components and equipment for design projects identifying sources of critical parts and subsystems to resolve technical issues.We are seeking a motivated Mechanical Engineer with 2-4 years of experience to support product design development testing and manufacturing initiatives. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in mechanical design CAD tools GD&T sheet metal design and manufacturing processes.
- Perform engineering analysis and provide technical solutions under general supervision.
- Design modify and maintain mechanical layouts schematics drawings and specifications.
- Coordinate the procurement and assembly of mechanical components and equipment for design projects.
- Identify sources of critical parts and subsystems to resolve moderately complex technical issues.
- Conduct engineering testing and prepare detailed test reports.
- Generate and maintain product release documentation including alpha and gamma documentation.
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues and perform root cause analysis to support product improvements.
- Design develop and implement custom tooling fixtures and associated manufacturing processes.
- Enable efficient handling assembly and disassembly of components sub-assemblies and final products throughout the product lifecycle.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design quality manufacturability and timely project completion.
- Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- 3-7 years of relevant mechanical engineering experience.
- Hands-on experience with CAD software such as SolidWorks Creo CATIA NX or AutoCAD.
- Strong understanding of:
- Mechanical Design
- GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing)
- Sheet Metal Design
- Material Selection
- Manufacturing Processes and Methods
- Thermodynamics
- Flow Analysis
- Experience in custom tooling and fixture design.
- Knowledge of Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Excellence (DFX) principles.
- Strong analytical problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
Experience: 3-7 Years
Education: Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
