Job Summary
Operator/Maintenence (Operator) is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of heavy-duty vehicles used to transport materials such as soil gravel rock or ore. This role is essential for construction mining and infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Machine Operation: Maneuver heavy dumpers and articulated trucks across diverse terrains including slopes and confined sites.
- Material Transport: Coordinate with excavator and loader operators to receive and transport materials to designated areas.
- Safe Discharge: Operate hydraulic hoist controls to discharge loads while ensuring vehicle stability.
- Pre-Operational Checks: Inspect engine oil fluids tire pressure hydraulics and braking systems daily.
- Site Safety: Adhere to traffic patterns and speed limits while identifying site hazards.
- Maintenance & Logging: Perform basic preventative maintenance and maintain accurate material and engine logs.
