Role Overview
As a Sr. Analyst Promotion Strategy & Operations you will develop and drive promotional strategies across marketplace divisions translating business goals into scalable frameworks and financial plans.This role is critical to meeting promo GMV targets by enabling data-driven decision-making improving promotional effectiveness strengthening priceperception and driving overall business performance.
You will partner closely withEnterprise Price Merchants SitePGM teamand cross-functional teams to define promotional roadmaps influence decisions and ensure seamless execution of promotional strategies.
Key Responsibilities
1.Promotion Strategy Development & Ownership
Lead the development ofTand division-level promotional strategies aligned to financial goals and price perceptionobjectives.
Define promorole offer constructs discount depth and cadence across key events and business cycles.
Build and own the promotional roadmap for assigned businesses/divisions ensuring alignment with merchant priorities and enterprise strategy.
Continuously refine strategies based on market dynamics competitive landscape and business performance.
2.PromotionPlanning
Lead development of division-level promotional strategies aligned to financial goals and price perceptionobjectives.
Define promo offer constructs discount depth and cadence across key events and business cycles.
Build and own promotional roadmaps ensuring alignment with merchant priorities and enterprise strategy.
Incorporate competitive intelligence and market trends to strengthen promo positioning.
Continuously refine strategies based on business performance and evolving market dynamics.
3. Financial Stewardship & Value Optimization
Drive demand generation strategy through promotions including traffic conversion and unit movementaligned to category and T goals.
Translate promotional strategies into robust financial plans factoring in sales lift demand elasticity
Monitor and steer weekly/monthly demand performance against plan; proactivelyidentifyrisks andcourse-correct.
Evaluate incrementality and true demand impact of promotions vs. baseline performance.
Optimizeinvestment allocation across events categories and offer types to maximize demand productivity (sales per $ invested).
Partner withPlanningand Finance toalign ondemand targets forecasts and performance accountability.
Translate strategies into financial plans by balancing short-term performance with long-term brand and price perceptionobjectives.
Conduct pre- and post-promo analysis to measure effectiveness incrementality and ROI.
Identifyrisks and opportunities and proactively adjust plans to meet financial targets.
4. Advanced Analytics & Insight-Led Decisioning
Build andleveragestrong analytical frameworks to guide strategy and decision-making.
Translate complex data into clear actionable insights and business recommendations.
Drive test-and-learn frameworks to continuously improve promotional effectiveness.
Develop reporting frameworks and dashboards to enable data-driven decisions.
5. Enterprise Collaboration & Execution Excellence
Act as a trusted partner toEnterprise Price(EP)Partner Engagement Team(PGM) and business teams on promotional strategy.
Influence decision-making through data-backedrecommendationsand structured problem-solving.
Partner with Site Promo COE and Merchandising teams to bring strategies to life.
Oversee end-to-end promotional planning cycles ensuring alignment from strategy to execution.
Ensure plans are operationally feasible well-coordinated and executed with accuracy.
6. Operational Excellence & Capability Building
Drive process improvements to enhance planning efficiency speed and accuracy.
Standardize frameworks best practices and governance models across businesses.
Partner with product and tech teams to enhance tools automation and systems.
Lead stakeholder communication including leadership updates and strategic presentations.
Champion innovation test-and-learn culture and continuous capability building in promotions.
About you: What are we looking for
3/4-year degree (. B.A. B.B.A.); Advanced Degree/MBA preferred
7years of experience in e-commerce/retail preferably in promotion strategy pricing merchandising or campaignplanning
Strong strategic thinking financial acumen and data analysis skills
High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Strong communicationand stakeholder management skills
Self-starter with a curiosity to learn new tools and systems
Advancedproficiencyin Excel DOMO Tableau and other reporting tools
