TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Plan coordinate and control manufacturing processes to ensure products are delivered on time and at optimised cost.
• Monitor production schedules and adjust as needed to meet demand.
• Ensure that production meets highest quality standards and specifications.
• Lead mentor and develop a team of production staff including unionized workmen.
• Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
• Address and resolve conflicts or issues that may arise within the team.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to enhance efficiency and productivity.
• Utilize lean manufacturing principles to reduce waste and optimize resources.
• Ensure all safety protocols and regulations are strictly followed.
• Conduct regular safety audits and training sessions for staff.
• Maintain compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare and present regular reports on production performance including key metrics and KPIs.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date production records and documentation

PROFILE & REQUIREMENTS

• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering Production Engineering or Industrial Engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a production management role within the manufacturing industry preferably in precision cutting tools and total experience should not be less than 15 years.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Proficiency in production planning. Knowledge of SAP is preferred.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and practices.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must know to speak fluent Kannada
• Experience in managing unionized workmen.
