Job Summary
Job Purpose
Recycling operations: Oversee on-ground recycling operations at CIPET and partner facilities. This includes streamlining feedstock sourcing monitoring operational KPIs identifying process bottlenecks ensuring timely procurement of packaging materials and managing end-to-end logistics and critical success factors.
Strategic sourcing: Managing a dedicated portfolio within the Plastics Department focused on the high-volume streams of PP HDPE and Milk Pouches. Responsibilities encompass the entire operational lifecyclefrom raw material procurement and customer engagement to rigorous quality control and the optimization of dispatch timelines
Job Responsibilities
Project coordination
- Overseeing ground-level washing and processing operations at the CIPET facility to ensure consistent throughput.
- Manage the JIT (Just-in-Time) delivery of raw materials to align with processing schedules and eliminate idle time.
- Conduct rigorous periodic inspections of raw material inputs to optimize the purity and yield of the final recyclate.
- Procure high-quality PP HDPE and LDPE (Milk Pouches) feedstock tailored to specific recycler technical requirements.
- Oversee the systematic packing of finished goods and coordinate timely dispatches to downstream partners.
- Monitor plant performance and provide detailed reports on bottlenecks or technical issues to ensure continuous operational flow.
Customer engagement
Maintain consistent engagement with recyclers and end-destination partners to ensure a steady pipeline of purchase orders and long-term contract stability.
Bridge the communication gap by translating recycler-specific material specifications into actionable sourcing guidelines for suppliers to ensure 100% feedstock compliance.
Proactively analyze recycler processing capabilities to identify opportunities for supplying additional material streams from our existing supply chain.
Strategic decision
Responsible for real-time problem-solving at CIPET to support and restart workflows in the event of unexpected operational halts.
Resolve feedstock quality issues using practical solution-oriented approaches to ensure zero disruption for end-destination clients.
Market intelligence
Proactively monitor and evaluate emerging "cutting-edge" recycling and plastic processing technologies to remain competitive and industry-aligned through participating in exhibitions and journals.
Maintain real-time tracking of material price benchmarks to optimize procurement and sales strategies.
Conduct root-cause analysis on market fluctuations to anticipate shifts in the recycling ecosystem and adjust financial projections accordingly.
Data Management
Streamline the collection and distribution of critical recycling project data to ensure cross-functional team alignment.
Track and record polymer price trends on a weekly/monthly basis to inform financial forecasting.
Consistently document pricing structures from multiple recyclers to identify competitive advantages and cost-saving opportunities.
Business Development
Identify more recyclers and start sending them samples to get an order
Give inputs to the team and company in terms of value addition with respect to the industry standards
Try to sell our technologies like vision QC wise waste IOT and others which are developed by SZW to other semi formal upstream and downstream partners.
