Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
Pre-Contract Commercial Strategy & Tendering

Lead design & scope coordination with Architects Structural & MEPF consultants
Review tender documents drawings and BOQs for completeness and risk
Structure tendering strategy bidder shortlisting and pre-bid clarifications
Evaluate commercial clauses (PBG LD retention payment terms)
Benchmark bids against internal estimates and budgets
Prepare and issue LOA / Work Orders KPIs

Post-Contract Commercial Control & Execution Support
Lead site-level commercial coordination with clients PMCs and contractors
Own budget tracking cash-flow planning and quarterly budget refresh
Validate and certify RA bills across civil MEP façade fire waterproofing etc.
Ensure structured project close-out and handover documentation KPIs
Budget variance within agreed tolerance
Timely certification of RA bills

Contracts Claims & Client Commercial Management
Draft negotiate and administer institutional-grade contracts (FIDIC / EPC / MSAs)
Lead claims management and commercial negotiations
Ensure zero litigation mindset through proactive issue resolution KPIs
Timely closure of variations and claims
Contractual compliance score

Cost Optimisation Value Engineering & Analytics
Drive value-engineering initiatives across design materials and lifecycle costs
Build and maintain Actual vs Estimated cost databases
Quantified cost savings delivered
Improvement in bid accuracy over time
Reduction in lifecycle cost (TCO) for key assets
Data completeness and audit readiness

Systems Governance & Team Enablement
Migrate all commercial workflows into ERP (SAP / Oracle or equivalent)
Standardise checklists templates and approval workflows
Mentor site commercial teams and build second-line capability KPIs
ERP adoption rate (target: 100%)
Audit observations (nil / minimal)

Requirements
B.E. Civil Engineering
With MBA (Finance / Operations) preferred Experience
10- 15 years in commercial management within construction / infra / industrial projects
Strong exposure to client-owned plants and institutional clients

Required Skills:

Candidate Profile Education & Experience: B.E. / in Civil Engineering. 610 years of experience in Billing Quantity Surveying (QS) or Planning within the construction industry. Experience in Precast construction is a significant advantage. Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Project. Working knowledge of ERP systems (SAP/Oracle/custom). Proficiency in MS Excel. Ability to read and interpret GFC (Good for Construction) drawings. Core Competencies: Precision-oriented with a high level of accuracy in data and calculations.
