Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or related field with relevant industry experience.

Position Description:
We are looking for an experienced Mainframe Developer with strong expertise in COBOL DB2 JCL IMS DB/DC and mainframe utilities. The ideal candidate should possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills with hands-on experience in end-to-end development activities within Agile environments. The candidate will be responsible for developing enhancing testing and supporting enterprise mainframe applications while collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

Develop maintain and support mainframe applications using COBOL JCL DB2 IMS DB/DC and SORT utilities.
Perform end-to-end development activities independently with minimal supervision.
Analyze business and technical requirements and provide effective technical solutions.
Work on batch processing online transactions and database-related enhancements.
Utilize mainframe utilities such as IDCAMS FILE-AID TSO/ISPF and related tools for development and support activities.
Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning daily stand-ups retrospectives and backlog grooming.
Create and maintain technical documentation program specifications and support documents.
Perform unit testing debugging and defect resolution using standard testing tools.
Collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of solutions.
Support production deployments incident analysis and issue resolution activities.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

Must-Have Skills:
3 5 years of strong hands-on experience in mainframe development.
Strong expertise in COBOL JCL DB2 IMS DB/DC and SORT.
Experience with mainframe utilities such as IDCAMS FILE-AID TSO/ISPF and related tools.
Good understanding of VSAM GDG datasets and abend handling concepts.
Experience with Agile methodologies including Scrum and Kanban.
Hands-on experience with Agile tools such as Jira Rally and Confluence.
Experience with version control and change management tools such as Endevor ChangeMan or ISPW.
Experience using testing and debugging tools such as Xpediter and InterTest.
Strong analytical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Good-to-Have Skills:
Exposure to production support activities in enterprise environments.
Knowledge of performance tuning and optimization techniques.
Experience working in Banking Insurance or Healthcare domains.
Understanding of modern integration approaches with legacy systems.
