We are looking for an experienced Mainframe Developer with strong expertise in designing developing testing and maintaining enterprise applications on IBM Mainframe platforms. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with COBOL JCL DB2 CICS VSAM and other mainframe technologies.

• Develop enhance and maintain applications on the IBM Mainframe platform.
  

• Write and maintain programs using COBOL.
  

• Develop and modify JCL for batch processing.
  

• Work with DB2 databases including SQL queries stored procedures and performance tuning.
  

• Develop and support online applications using CICS.
  

• Work with VSAM files and other mainframe datasets.
  

• Perform unit testing integration testing and production support.
  

• Analyze business and technical requirements and provide suitable solutions.
  

• Debug and resolve application batch job and production issues.
  

• Monitor and optimize batch jobs and application performance.
  

• Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards.
  

• Collaborate with business analysts testers and other development teams.
  

• Support application deployment and release activities.
  

• Prepare technical documentation and maintain existing system documentation.
  

• Strong hands-on experience with COBOL.
  

• Good knowledge of JCL and IBM Mainframe utilities.
  

• Experience with DB2 and SQL.
  

• Hands-on experience with CICS.
  

• Knowledge of VSAM IMS and mainframe datasets.
  

• Experience in debugging tools such as Xpediter/Abend-AID or similar tools.
  

• Knowledge of TSO/ISPF and SDSF.
  

• Understanding of batch and online transaction processing.
  

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  

• Good communication and teamwork skills.
  

• Experience with IMS DB/DC.
  

• Knowledge of REXX scripting.
  

• Experience with IBM MQ.
  

• Exposure to Mainframe modernization initiatives.
  

• Experience integrating mainframe applications with distributed or cloud-based systems.
  

• Knowledge of DevOps and CI/CD practices for mainframe applications.
  

• Experience in Banking Insurance Healthcare or other enterprise domains.
  

COBOL JCL DB2 SQL CICS VSAM IMS TSO/ISPF SDSF IBM MQ Mainframe Utilities

Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology Engineering or a related field.

The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in COBOL JCL DB2 and CICS with the ability to independently handle application development enhancements production support and troubleshooting in a complex enterprise mainframe environment.
