BMC Discovery Required Skills:
Strong hands-on experience with BMC Discovery (ADDM) administration configuration and troubleshooting.
Expertise in agentless infrastructure and application discovery across Windows Linux VMware cloud and network devices.
Experience with Service Mapping Dependency Mapping and Application Modeling.
Good understanding of CMDB integration reconciliation data normalization and data quality management.
Experience supporting & managing Hardware Asset Management (HAM) lifecycle processes including asset discovery inventory reconciliation asset onboarding moves/adds/changes refresh retirement and disposal tracking.
Ability to align discovered Configuration Items (CIs) with asset records to maintain accurate asset lifecycle governance.
Ability to create and modify Discovery Patterns (TPL) and troubleshoot pattern-related issues.
Basic understanding of networking & other IT infrastructure fundamentals.
Experience with BMC / Service Now CMDB Asset Management and ITIL processes.
Strong troubleshooting skills for discovery failures credential issues and CMDB synchronization errors.
Ability to produce discovery reports dependency maps architecture documentation and asset compliance reports.
Preferred Skills:
Exposure to IT Governance Asset Management Change Impact Analysis and Audit requirements.
BMC Discovery certifications preferred.
