The primary purpose of this role is to end-to-end manage and optimize primary and secondary transportation warehousing operations and inventory control. The incumbent will serve as a critical bridge between internal departments (Sales Finance Customer Service) and external partners (Warehouse Service Providers Transporters) to ensure high On-Time In-Full (OTIF) delivery performance strict cost control and absolute inventory accuracy.
3. Key Responsibilities & Process Deliverables Logistics & Transportation Management
Daily Dispatches: Coordinate daily with Sales Customer Service and Transporters to ensure seamless order processing timely vehicle placement invoicing and dispatch to customers.
Network Management: Oversee all primary and secondary transportation lines (Factory to Mother Warehouse Mother Warehouse to Satellite Warehouse and Satellite Warehouse to Customers).
Cost Control: Monitor and control primary and secondary transportation costs. Conduct lane-wise cost studies to ensure logistics expenses remain strictly within the approved budget.
Vendor Management: Manage transporter relationships track transport efficiency negotiate freight rates and continuously source and onboard new vendors to strengthen the transporter base.
Warehousing & Inventory Control
Plant Warehouse Operations: Oversee in-plant warehouse operations ensuring timely unloading of Raw Materials (RM) and quick loading of Finished Goods (FG) moving to external warehouses.
WSP & Partner Management: Manage train and audit Warehouse Service Providers (WSP) and labor contractors to ensure compliance with company policies and safety norms.
Inventory Accuracy: Maintain high inventory accuracy by ensuring timely Goods Receipt Notes (GRN) for all inbound material managing periodic cycle counts and leading monthly/quarterly inventory audits.
Stock Rotation & Mitigation: Ensure strict adherence to FIFO (First In First Out) and FEFO (First Expired First Out) practices. Drive proactive action on SLOB (Slow-Moving and Obsolete) stocks and drastically reduce material damages during storage handling and transit.
Strategy Audits & MIS Reporting
Agreement Support: Assist the Logistics Manager during commercial negotiations and drafting of Transporter & Warehousing agreements.
Compliance & Audits: Serve as the key coordinator during various internal and external audits including Quality Audits Safety Audits and Inventory Audits.
Data Analytics & MIS: Prepare and publish daily weekly and monthly Supply Chain MIS tracking critical performance indices such as OTIF Logistics Cost per Metric Ton (MT) and stock accuracy (separated by RM and FG transport lines).
Systems Support: Provide SAP guidance and troubleshooting support to field resources and operational teams.
