Engineering Manager

## About the Role

We are seeking a hands-on Engineering Manager to own the technology roadmap and delivery for 5 products spanning the Lending and Trade verticals. This role operates at the intersection of engineering execution product thinking and stakeholder management. You will drive a lean high-ownership team to build and scale core lending and agri-trade infrastructure including co-lending integrations credit workflows and trade/commerce platforms.

### Products Managed (Indicative):

- Co-Lending Platform / API integration layer (bank and NBFC partner integrations loan lifecycle orchestration)
- Credit STORE credit decisioning and underwriting workflows
- TRADE NEXT agri trade and value chain financing platform
- INPUT STORE / OUTPUT STORE input-linked credit and output offtake modules
- Krishi Setu / FPONext integrated agri-commerce and FPO ecosystem platform

## Key Responsibilities

- Own end-to-end engineering delivery across the 5 assigned products encompassing planning execution quality and release management.
- Lead and mentor a team of engineers QA/SDET resources and product-aligned squads; manage hiring performance and career growth.
- Translate business and product requirements (co-lending credit trade collections) into technical architecture and sprint plans.
- Drive API integration programs with partner banks NBFCs and external platforms (e.g. loan origination systems credit bureaus KYC providers).
- Establish and enforce engineering best practices including code quality test automation (API and mobile) CI/CD and release governance.
- Partner closely with Product Credit and Business teams to prioritize the roadmap and resolve cross-functional dependencies.
- Own quality and reliability including test strategy UAT coordination and production stability for all 5 products.
- Report progress risks and roadmap to senior leadership (CDO/CTO) and contribute to board-level technology updates as needed.
- Manage vendor and partner technical relationships where applicable (e.g. core banking LOS/LMS credit bureau integrations).

## Requirements

- 8-12 years of overall engineering experience with at least 3-4 years in an engineering management / team lead role.
- Proven experience managing multiple products or workstreams simultaneously in a fast-paced resource-lean environment.
- Strong background in API-driven architectures third-party integrations and system design for transactional platforms.
- Experience in BFSI / NBFC / fintech domains lending co-lending credit underwriting or trade finance strongly preferred.
- Solid understanding of QA and test automation practices (e.g. API test frameworks mobile automation) and release engineering.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills; comfortable working directly with business credit and senior leadership.
- Strong people management skills including hiring mentoring and building high-performance engineering teams.
- Exposure to agri-fintech FPO ecosystems or rural financial services is a strong plus.
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related field.
