Job Summary
What a typical day looks like:
Handle product transfer and new product set up.
Support production by assessing product engineering issues of diverse scope that arise on production line.
Suggest improvements to process to obtain improved quality and production yield.
Solve product related problems and perform failure evaluation related to product issues.
Interact with customer and various departments on product related issues
Work with design team to resolve design related issues.
Suggest modification to work instructions material or product changes to ensure excellent quality of products.
Customers Bill of Material (BOM) evaluation and structure definition for production
Functional Product Documentation review
Safety Requirements and regulations compliance identification
Engineering Drawings Interpretation of parts and assemblies.
Request customer for drawing corrections additions clarification measurements methods
Manage Engineering Changes Implementation
Conduct Design for Manufacturing (DFM) tolerance evaluation Design of Experiment (DOE) form-fit-function to define failure root/cause evaluation and reporting to customer
Provide support to supply chain to integrate parts derived from the vertical integration or localization effort
Provide product training to the manufacturing/process engineers for better understanding of the product.
Here is some of what youll need (required):
- Typically requires a Bachelor of Science Degree in related field or equivalent experience.
- Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents logarithms quadratic equations and permutations. Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution determination of test reliability and validity analysis of variance correlation techniques sampling theory and factor analysis.
- Ability toanalizeproblems design experiments conduct a design for manufacturing analysis collect data establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
- Knowledge on metrology measurement methods engineering drawing interpretations Parts andassembliesanalysis using CAD system
