Responsibilities:
SAP MDG Functional Responsibilities
Design and configure SAP MDG for domains such as Material Vendor Customer and Finance.
Define data models UI configurations business rules and approval workflows.
Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into MDG solutions.
Implement data governance policies and ensure compliance with organizational standards.
Support MDG-related enhancements testing and production support.
Data Migration Responsibilities
Lead and execute data migration activities for SAP implementations upgrades or rollouts.
Perform data extraction cleansing transformation validation and loading using tools such as:
SAP LSMW
SAP Data Services (BODS)
SAP Migration Cockpit (LTMC LTMOM)
IDocs BAPIs and custom programs
Coordinate with functional and technical teams to ensure data readiness and cutover success.
Develop and execute data validation and reconciliation strategies.
Data Quality & Governance
Define and implement data quality rules and validation mechanisms.
Monitor and improve data accuracy completeness and consistency.
Support data stewardship and master data lifecycle management.
Documentation & Training
Prepare functional specifications data migration strategy documents test scripts and user manuals.
Conduct training and knowledge transfer sessions for business users and support teams.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Information Technology Engineering or related field.
510 years of experience in SAP MDG and data migration projects.
Strong knowledge of:
SAP MDG configuration and workflows
Master data domains (Material Vendor Customer Finance)
Data migration tools and techniques (LSMW BODS LTMC)
Data quality and governance frameworks
Experience with SAP ECC and/or S/4HANA.
Excellent analytical problem-solving and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
SAP MDG certification.
Experience with SAP Fiori apps for MDG.
Exposure to SAP Information Steward or SAP Master Data Integration (MDI).
Knowledge of GDPR SOX or other data compliance standards.
Experience in industries like manufacturing retail pharma or utilities.
