Job Summary
We are Sisco Jobs a recruitment consultancy based in Trichy Tamil Nadu. We are currently hiring on behalf of our client for the position of HVAC Design Engineer located in Chennai Tamil Nadu. Our client is a reputed organization in the Engineering & Construction sector looking for skilled and motivated professionals to join their growing team. - Design HVAC systems including heating and cooling load calculations for commercial and industrial projects.
- Prepare detailed ducting and piping layouts based on airflow and pressure requirements.
- Select appropriate HVAC equipment including chillers boilers AHUs and ventilation systems.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering teams during FEED and detailed design stages.
- Develop technical specifications BOQs and enquiry requisitions for HVAC systems.
- Review vendor quotations evaluate technical bids and prepare bid comparison reports.
- Support proposal preparation including estimation and deliverable planning.
- Ensure compliance with applicable HVAC standards safety norms and project specifications.
- HVAC System Design Expertise in designing efficient HVAC systems for industrial and commercial facilities.
- Cooling & Heating Load Calculations Ability to calculate thermal loads using standard engineering methods and software.
- Ducting & Piping Design Knowledge of airflow balancing pressure drop analysis and routing layouts.
- Equipment Selection Experience in selecting AHUs chillers boilers and ventilation equipment.
- Technical Bid Evaluation Capability to review vendor offers and prepare technical recommendations.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD or Revit MEP.
- Familiarity with ASHRAE standards and HVAC codes.
- Experience in FEED and EPC project environments.
Candidates should possess 38 years of experience in HVAC design engineering within industrial commercial or infrastructure projects. Prior exposure to FEED or detailed engineering projects is preferred. The ideal candidate should be capable of independently handling HVAC design activities while coordinating effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
Required Skills:
Strong hands-on experience with AutoCAD Plant 3D and Navisworks. Proficiency in creating 3D models Piping Isometrics GA drawings and Piping -depth knowledge of Piping BOM MTO and Piping Material Specifications (PMS). Familiarity with piping support systems and basic understanding of stress analysis. Solid understanding of P&ID for boilers and power plants. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective client and team interactions. Strong leadership abilities to manage and guide a team towards successful project completion.
Required Education:
Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (DME) or Bachelors Degree in Engineering (BE) with a minimum of 8 years of experience in the design stream.
