Job Summary

Job Title: General Manager Human Resources (HR Generalist)
Location: Chennai
Department: Human Resources
Reporting To: Director / CHRO / Management Team

Job Purpose:
The General Manager Human Resources will lead and manage the complete HR function ensuring alignment of HR strategies with business objectives. The role will oversee talent acquisition employee engagement performance management HR operations statutory compliance policy implementation learning & development and overall people management initiatives while driving a high-performance culture.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic HR Leadership

  • Develop and execute HR strategies aligned with organizational goals and business priorities.
  • Partner with leadership teams on workforce planning and organizational development initiatives.
  • Drive HR transformation projects and process improvements.

Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning

  • Lead end-to-end recruitment activities across levels.
  • Develop talent acquisition strategies for critical and leadership hiring.
  • Ensure effective manpower planning and succession planning.

HR Operations & Employee Lifecycle Management

  • Manage complete employee lifecycle from onboarding to exit formalities.
  • Oversee HRMS administration and employee records management.
  • Ensure smooth implementation of HR policies and procedures.

Performance Management

  • Drive performance management systems goal setting appraisals and performance reviews.
  • Support leadership teams in performance discussions and development planning.

Employee Engagement & Culture

  • Develop and implement employee engagement initiatives.
  • Drive organizational culture and employee satisfaction programs.
  • Address employee grievances and maintain healthy employee relations.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Manage compensation structures annual increments and benchmarking activities.
  • Support payroll coordination and benefits administration.

Learning & Development

  • Identify training needs and develop capability-building initiatives.
  • Facilitate leadership development and employee learning programs.

Desired Candidate Profile:

  • Any Graduate. MBA preferred
  • 10 years of HR experience with strong exposure to HR Generalist functions.
  • Experience handling end-to-end HR activities including recruitment operations employee relations and compliance.
  • Strong understanding of labor laws and statutory regulations.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and leadership skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Experience in managing teams and driving HR initiatives.

Required Education:
