HP NonStop Developer / HP NonStop Application Developer

We are looking for an experienced HP NonStop Developer with strong hands-on experience in developing enhancing testing and supporting applications on the HPE NonStop platform. The ideal candidate should have experience with NonStop programming languages and technologies such as TAL pTAL C COBOL TACL SQL/MP and SQL/MX.

• Design develop enhance and maintain applications on the HPE NonStop platform.
  

• Analyze functional and technical requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  

• Develop and maintain applications using TAL/pTAL C and/or COBOL.
  

• Develop and execute TACL scripts for application operations and automation.
  

• Work with SQL/MP and SQL/MX for database development and data processing.
  

• Develop and maintain batch and online transaction-processing applications.
  

• Perform application debugging troubleshooting and production support.
  

• Analyze system failures application errors and performance issues.
  

• Perform unit testing integration testing regression testing and defect resolution.
  

• Optimize application code and database queries for performance and scalability.
  

• Work with NonStop processes files databases and system utilities.
  

• Participate in code reviews and follow development and coding standards.
  

• Support application deployments migrations upgrades and production releases.
  

• Prepare technical documentation and participate in knowledge-transfer activities.
  

• Collaborate with business analysts QA teams infrastructure teams and other application developers.
  

• Hands-on experience with HPE/HP NonStop systems.
  

• Strong experience with one or more NonStop programming languages:
  

  • TAL / pTAL
    

  • C
    

  • COBOL
    

• Good knowledge of TACL scripting.
  

• Experience with SQL/MP and/or SQL/MX.
  

• Understanding of NonStop file systems and application architecture.
  

• Experience with batch and online processing.
  

• Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills.
  

• Knowledge of NonStop process management and system utilities.
  

• Good understanding of software development lifecycle.
  

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  

• Experience with Pathway application development.
  

• Knowledge of Enscribe databases and files.
  

• Experience with TMF (Transaction Management Facility).
  

• Knowledge of Guardian operating environment.
  

• Experience with OSS (Open System Services).
  

• Knowledge of TCP/IP SNAX or Expand.
  

• Experience with MQ or other messaging technologies.
  

• Knowledge of NonStop SQL/MP and SQL/MX performance tuning.
  

• Experience in Banking Financial Services Payments or Telecommunications domains.
  

• Experience with production support and incident management.
  

HPE NonStop TAL pTAL C COBOL TACL SQL/MP SQL/MX Enscribe Pathway TMF Guardian OSS

• Monitor and troubleshoot critical NonStop applications.
  

• Investigate production incidents and perform root-cause analysis.
  

• Resolve application failures process issues and database-related problems.
  

• Coordinate with infrastructure and operations teams for system-level issues.
  

• Ensure application availability stability and performance.
  

• Participate in on-call and production-support activities when required.
  

Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology Engineering or a related discipline.

The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in HP/HPE NonStop application development with expertise in TAL/pTAL C COBOL TACL and NonStop SQL. Experience with Enscribe Pathway TMF Guardian and production support will be highly valued.
