Job Description IBDP Maths Faculty (with MYP Physics) Position: IBDP Mathematics Faculty Location: Lubumbashi Democratic Republic of Congo Experience Required: 35 Years Curriculum: IB Diploma Programme (IBDP) Additional Responsibility: Ability to teach MYP Physics preferred Job Overview We are looking for an experienced and passionate IBDP Maths Faculty member to join a reputed international school in Lubumbashi. The ideal candidate should have strong subject expertise in Mathematics under the IB Diploma Programme and should also be capable of handling MYP Physics classes when required. The candidate must demonstrate excellent classroom management skills inquiry-based teaching practices and a commitment to student-centered learning. Key Responsibilities Teach Mathematics for the IB Diploma Programme (IBDP) Plan and deliver engaging inquiry-driven lessons aligned with IB standards Prepare students for internal assessments and board examinations Design assessments assignments and lab activities Maintain accurate academic records and student progress reports Support students academically and mentor them when required Collaborate with fellow educators and participate in school activities Teach MYP Physics classes if assigned Participate in parent-teacher meetings training sessions and school events Eligibility Criteria Bachelors/Masters degree in Physics or relevant subject IB teaching experience preferred Minimum 35 years of relevant teaching experience Strong communication and classroom management skills Ability to teach MYP Physics will be an added advantage International school experience preferred Compensation & Benefits Monthly Salary: USDSalary paid for 10.5 months annually (Mid-August to June; July unpaid) Free food and accommodation Health insurance coverage Annual round-trip airfare to home country for employee and family (in July) 50% discount on school fees for children Contract duration: 2 years Preference Candidates from African countries will be given preference.
