Job Summary

Summary:
We are seeking an experienced FIM Consultant to design implement and maintain File Integrity Monitoring (FIM) solutions across Linux and Windows environments within AWS VPCs. This role is critical in ensuring the integrity and security of critical systems by detecting unauthorized file and configuration changes. The consultant will leverage the ELK stack to monitor analyze and visualize FIM data while integrating AWS VPC Flow Logs and CloudTrail for comprehensive visibility. The position plays a key role in supporting compliance with standards such as PCI DSS enabling robust audit readiness and proactive threat detection. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with infrastructure and application teams to ensure seamless onboarding effective troubleshooting and timely remediation while maintaining detailed documentation for operational consistency.

Responsibilities:
  • Configure and deploy ELK-based File Integrity Monitoring (FIM) solutions on Linux and Windows systems within AWS VPC environments.
  • Monitor and investigate unauthorized file or configuration changes in real time.
  • Tune FIM rules and validate alerts to minimize false positives while ensuring detection accuracy.
  • Ingest analyze and correlate FIM logs using the ELK stack (Elasticsearch Logstash Kibana).
  • Integrate AWS VPC Flow Logs and CloudTrail data into FIM monitoring for enhanced security visibility.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and alerting mechanisms for critical file and configuration changes.
  • Provide audit-ready evidence and reporting to support PCI DSS and other compliance requirements.
  • Collaborate with infrastructure and application teams for FIM onboarding issue resolution and remediation.
  • Document system design standard operating procedures (SOPs) and low-level design (LLD) for FIM solutions.

Requirements
  • 8-13 years of hands-on experience with ELK-based FIM implementations.
  • Proficient in the ELK Stack (Elasticsearch Logstash Kibana) with practical experience in log ingestion and analysis.
  • Strong working knowledge of AWS services including VPC Flow Logs and CloudTrail.
  • In-depth understanding of Linux and Windows operating system internals and file system behavior.
  • Demonstrated expertise in log correlation alerting and incident response workflows.
  • Experience with change management processes and incident handling in enterprise environments.
