Job Summary
Godamwale is seeking a senior transportation professional to lead its transportation business across India. The successful candidate will be responsible for building and scaling the companys FTL and PTL transportation network developing strategic relationships with transporters and fleet operators generating transportation revenue from existing and new customers and driving the overall transportation profit and loss (P&L).
The role will require the candidate to develop transportation solutions that can be offered along with Godamwales warehousing services generate transportation business from existing Godamwale customers as well as new customers and develop lane-wise pricing commercial models and profitable transportation solutions.
The candidate will also be responsible for building a strong national network of transport companies fleet owners and regional operators leveraging existing industry relationships to rapidly develop capacity across key lanes and industrial clusters negotiating rates commercial terms and strategic partnerships with transporters and developing preferred-carrier and backup-carrier networks.
The successful candidate will own the revenue margins and profitability of the transportation business drive cost optimization and competitive procurement and track customer-wise and lane-wise profitability.
The ideal candidate will have 510 years of experience in transportation management business development strategic planning commercial negotiation cost optimization profitability analysis and transportation industry knowledge. They will also have strong leadership and team management skills as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
The role will be based in Mumbai and the candidate will be required to travel frequently to meet with transporters fleet operators and other stakeholders.
