Head Tool Design

POSITION SUMMARY:

Overall management of Tool Design Department Resource management and planning of design jobs to support in-house production and NPD Overall management of NPD from RFQ to Tooling development and qualification and Plan for Training & Development.

MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Resource management for all design-related jobs.

• Liaise with BU’s and purchase department for new project RFQ for finalization of suppliers.

• Involve in feasibility study for NPD along with team.

• Tooling RFQ for new projects • Initiate tooling orders to suppliers

• Ensure DFM Tool design and development is meeting targets.

• Liaise with tool suppliers for on time delivery and qualifications. • Ensure all tools/molds are made according to AFCI standards. • In-house tool/mold assembly for NPD •

In-house trials and qualification for NPD

• Plan for tool designer training needs for improvement

• Ensure all design related documents are maintained safely as per ISO/IATF procedure.

• Any other responsibilities that the Management may entrust from time to time.

EDUCATION EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIRED

Education • Diploma in Tool & Die making with good experience in the Tooling industry.

Experience • 20 years of hands-on experience in Tool development activities/Tool design activities Skills
