Join Svitzer as Head of Finance for India and take responsibility forfinancialmanagementandreporting controls compliance and statutory director obligations while working closely with local and regional stakeholders across a globalorganisation.
As Head of FinanceforIndia you will lead the finance function for Svitzers operationsin Indiaand serve as an appointed Director of the companys legal entities.
Reporting to theAMEARegionCFO you willbe responsible forfinancial reporting planning controls governance and statutory compliance while leading a small team of finance professionals. You will work closely with localsiteleadership and regional finance colleagues to support business performance manage financial risks and ensure compliance with corporate and regulatory requirements.
The role also includes responsibility for supporting regional financial reporting and consolidation activitiesforthe AMEA region providing exposure to a broader international finance environment.

Yourkey responsibilities will be:
Lead all aspects offinancial management reportingplanningand analysis for the Indiabusiness.
Ensuretimelyandaccuratemonthlyquarterlyand annual financial reporting.
Oversee budgeting forecasting cash flowmanagementand performance monitoring.
Maintain robust financial controls governanceframeworksand risk management practices.
Ensure compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and corporate reporting requirements.
Serve as an appointed Director of Svitzers legal entities in India.
Ensure compliance with the Companies Act and all relevant statutory and regulatory requirements.
Represent the company with government authorities and regulatory bodies as including maritime and customs authorities.
Act as anauthorisedsignatoryin accordance withdelegated authority for company documents statutory accounts tax filings banking documentation and other legal and corporate matters.
Review and approve statutory filings financial statements tax submissions and other corporate documentation.
Maintain strong governance standards and fulfil fiduciary responsibilities with integrity and diligence.
Supportthe AMEA Regionfinancial reporting consolidation forecasting and year-end reporting processes.
Support quarterly sustainability reporting requirements across theRegion
Contribute to regional control framework initiatives and continuous improvement programmes.
Coordinate external audits and drivetimelyresolution of audit findings.
Partner with regional finance teams to strengthen reporting quality controls and governance across the region.
Leadcoachand develop the local finance team.
Foster a culture of accountabilitycollaborationand continuous improvement.
Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders across theorganisation.
You are an accomplished finance professionalwho combines strong technicalexpertisewith sound judgement leadership capabilityand a hands-on approach.
A universitydegree in Finance Accounting BusinessAdministrationora relateddiscipline.
A professionalaccountingqualification (CA/CPAor equivalent).
Minimum 8-10 years of progressive finance experience includingpeopleleadership responsibilities.
Strong knowledge of IFRS financial governance risk management and regulatory compliance.
Proven experience in financial reporting statutory reporting budgeting forecasting audit management and corporate compliance.
Previousexperience serving as a statutory Director is.
Experience supporting financial consolidation and reporting within a regional or multinational environment.
Hands-on experience with ERP and financial reporting systems; experience with OneStream financial consolidation software is strongly preferred. Exposure to Microsoft Dynamics would beadvantageous.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to distil complex information and communicate clearly and confidently with stakeholders at all levels including senior management.
Experiencewithin maritime transportationlogisticsinfrastructure or other asset-intensive industriesis preferred but notmandatory.
