RenewCO2 makes carbon-negative chemicals and fuels. Our electrocatalytic CO2 utilization technology runs on electricity water and waste CO2 and the product drops straight into existing industrial supply chains. Because the process is energy-efficient our cost structure competes with fossil-derived incumbents rather than relying on a green premium.

We are venture-backed and we have won grant funding from the U.S. Department of Energy the National Science Foundation DARPA the New Jersey Commission on Science Innovation and Technology and Breakthrough Energy among others. The technology is demonstrated at pilot scale with customers and we are now building toward commercial scale.

The company started in the United States where most of our R&D is executed while product development and manufacturing happen in India.

Our customers are chemical fuel and materials producers across Asia Europe and North and Latin America. Your work has to hold up for a procurement team in Rotterdam a process engineer in Houston and a plant manager in Gujarat not just one of them.

This role is based in Chikkaballapur Karnataka at Ohmium International which builds green hydrogen electrolyzers at a gigafactory there. RenewCO2 has a joint development agreement with Ohmium: working beside a partner that already makes electrochemical stacks at volume shortens our path to manufacturing at scale.

The role

Non-dilutive funding and commercial bids are two of the most consequential workstreams at our stage and both get won or lost on execution details: a compliance matrix a budget justification that reconciles a letter of commitment that arrives before the deadline instead of after it. You own that execution.

You will run the mechanics of every grant application and every commercial proposal we submit. The calendar the outline the compliance checklist the assembly the correspondence and follow-up the submission itself. Our technical and commercial leaders then spend their time on content and strategy instead of forms and formatting.

This is a hands-on job. You will be building the documents yourself rather than directing someone else who builds them and you will learn a good deal about electrochemistry and about how large industrial customers buy along the way.

You will work directly with our CTO and CEO the U.S. technical team university and industrial partners and counterparts at Ohmium under our joint development agreement.

What you will do

Opportunity pipeline

Track a pipeline of funding opportunities across U.S. federal programs Indian national and Karnataka state programs and relevant international and philanthropic sources.

Write short bid and no-bid briefs: eligibility fit cost share effort required deadlines and what we would need from partners.

Grant proposal management

Own the proposal calendar working backward from the deadline through kickoff outline content plan review rounds and submission with real buffer.

Build the compliance matrix for every solicitation covering page limits margins and fonts required sections file naming and appendix rules then verify compliance before we submit.

Assemble the standard components: forms budgets and budget justifications cost-share documentation letters of commitment and support biosketches and CVs current and pending support statements of project objectives and milestone tables data management plans and community benefits plans where required.

Coordinate subrecipient packages with university and industrial partners including whatever each research office requires and how long it takes them.

Edit contributed technical text to fit page limits without changing what it claims and query the author when meaning is at stake.

Submit through the portal then archive the complete submitted package.

Commercial proposals and bids

Manage responses to customer and EPC RFIs RFPs RFQs and tenders: requirement matrices response outlines contributor assignments and the consolidated final document.

Complete supplier prequalification questionnaires and vendor registrations and keep our profiles current in customer procurement portals.

Keep the clarification and Q&A log during a live bid and track deadlines for questions addenda and submission.

Pull commercial and legal inputs together with finance counsel and technical leads: pricing sheets terms and conditions review insurance HSE and QA documentation.

Content library and post-award support

Build and maintain a reusable content library: boilerplate technical descriptions past performance facility and safety information CVs standard budget structures. The next submission should start at sixty percent rather than zero.

Track NDAs confidentiality obligations and document control across submissions.

Support post-award reporting logistics with technical leads and finance: milestone and progress report assembly deadline tracking formatting.

What we are looking for

Two to four years coordinating grant applications tenders or commercial bids or supporting government reporting and compliance. Deep tech energy engineering services manufacturing and research institutions are all good backgrounds and we care more about how you work than about the setting you learned in.

Some hands-on experience putting a formal application or bid together: forms budgets letters of support CVs and the rest of the package. You do not need to have handled every component. We will teach you the parts specific to DOE and to our commercial customers.

You take solicitation rules seriously. Page limits margins fonts file naming and appendix rules decide whether a good proposal gets read at all and you would rather keep a checklist than trust your memory.

Comfort working in long documents that several people are editing at once with solid Word and Excel skills including styles templates and a budget workbook.

You can keep a deadline moving through people more senior than you following up with a CTO a professor or a partners contracts office politely and persistently until the document arrives.

You can edit an engineers writing for clarity and length without changing what it claims and you ask when the meaning is unclear rather than guessing.

Reliability on deadlines versions and confidentiality. Unpublished data partner information and pricing get handled correctly every time.

Willingness to work the occasional late evening in IST on grant submission days. U.S. federal deadlines often fall at 5:00 PM Eastern which is roughly 2:30 AM IST. We plan around it and compensating time off follows.

A bachelors degree. Science engineering or technical communication helps mainly so you can follow a conversation about electrolysis or catalysis and notice when a draft contradicts itself.

Fluent written English.

If you have done most of this and you are early in your career apply. We would rather teach the specifics to someone who wants to do the work than hire someone who has moved past it.

Nice to have

Experience with U.S. federal submission portals such as DOE eXCHANGE PAMS FedConnect or or with the Indian national and state equivalents.

Experience with DOE program offices such as EERE FECM ARPA-E or OCED or with SBIR and STTR applications.

Experience with Indian and international funders: MNRE and the National Green Hydrogen Mission DST ANRF TDB BIRAC Karnataka state incentive programs Horizon Europe or philanthropic climate funds.

Commercial bid experience: RFI RFP RFQ and tender responses supplier prequalification questionnaires and procurement portals such as SAP Ariba Coupa or GeM.

Awareness of U.S. federal award compliance: 2 CFR 200 indirect cost rates FFATA reporting Build America Buy America prevailing wage rules. You will not administer these. You do need to notice when they change what a proposal must say.

APMP membership or certification or a Grant Professional Certified credential.

Experience running structured proposal reviews sometimes called pink team and red team reviews where an early draft gets checked for compliance and strategy and a near-final draft gets scored the way the funder will score it.

Familiarity with our vocabulary: electrolysis CO2 utilization catalysis techno-economic analysis life cycle assessment technology readiness level.

Experience coordinating across time zones with a distributed technical team.

What success looks like in six months

Every submission compliant and in before the deadline with no portal emergencies.

A live prioritized funding pipeline with clear bid and no-bid recommendations so we chase fewer and better opportunities.

A content library that measurably cuts the effort of each new submission.

Partner and subrecipient documents arriving on our schedule rather than at the deadline.

This role is probably not for you if

Detailed formatting and compliance rules bore you rather than satisfy you.

You are looking for a job where you assign this work rather than do it yourself.

Following up with senior people for deliverables makes you uncomfortable.

You need a schedule with no late nights ever. A handful of grant submission nights a year come with this job.

Location working pattern and compensation

Hybrid: two days a week on site in Chikkaballapur the rest wherever you work best. A company shuttle runs from Bengaluru so you do not have to relocate or drive the corridor yourself.

Compensation: 1012 lakh fixed CTC plus equity and benefits. No travel. On-site days flex around submission deadlines: on a submission night you work from wherever suits you and compensating time off follows.

What to submit

Two things and we will keep it to that.

A writing sample of one or two pages of technical or semi-technical prose you wrote or substantially edited: a proposal section an executive summary a project narrative or a capability statement. Tell us which parts were yours.

One process artifact from a real submission: a compliance matrix a proposal calendar an outline with contributor assignments or a budget justification. This often tells us more than the prose does.

Redact or paraphrase anything confidential and describe rather than send anything you are not free to share. The application form also asks you to describe one submission you coordinated and one you lost.
