We are hiring people who want to work on extremely interesting challenges with a global impact in the financial sector. We are seeking a strong technologist and leader to join a dynamic team in developing various applications supporting Regulatory Reporting function. We are looking for an experienced developer who will play a key role in driving some of the transformational initiatives for EMEA transaction reporting driven out of India. A successful candidate will have strong hands on technical and problem-solving skills as well as providing technical oversight and leadership to the team. Strong communication skills are key we expect you to constructively volunteer reasoned views and opinions in different team forums both technically and on how were performing as an Agile team. Effectively meeting the demands of our challenging mandate requires a passion for learning as well as deep understanding and experience across a wide array of technical competencies.

About Regulatory Engineering

Regulatory Operations and the associated Engineering team are responsible for protecting this reputation through taking responsibility for the reporting of all the firms activities to many regulators throughout the world. To achieve this the team processes all the firms activity securities or derivatives within each of the jurisdictions in which the firm operates and deliver to regulators in complete accurate and timely manner. The team utilizes the latest technologies to achieve regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities and Qualifications:

- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Computer Engineering or a related field

- 5 years of experience in designing and developing Java-based applications using industry-standard technologies

- As a VP in Regulatory engineering you will design and implement reports and controls supporting global regulatory initiatives

- Take ownership of delivery of the regulatory initiatives across the full software development lifecycle

- Design develop and maintain Java-based applications

- Expertise in daily usage of AI coding agents

- Experience in Scala-based applications is a plus

- Good understanding of Spring

- Expectation is that you will be heavily hands on coding daily

- Familiar with debugging and performance tuning along with a good understanding of installing maintaining and monitoring complex Java applications

- Know software development tools such as Git SVN Artifactory and Jira

- Show familiarity with continuous integration tools such as Jenkins

- Deal with big data - millions of rows a day

- Experience of SQL including query optimization

- Evaluate engineer customize and extend solutions

- Enthusiastic about learning new technologies and not afraid to roll up their sleeves to help reach the teams challenging objectives.

- Gain a comprehensive understanding of financial instruments across multiple asset classes ranging from high volume FX trades to complex Commodities Credit Equities and Interest Rate derivatives

- Build relationships with users and facilitate requirements gathering and negotiating project scope

- Strong team collaboration and communication skills cross-region experience would be advantageous

- Excellent communication analytical and problem-solving skills

- Dedicated self-starter with an ability to own drive and deliver projects through their lifecycle

Below skills and qualifications are nice to have. If you do not possess these skills you will have a chance to develop your expertise in these areas as they are other technologies used with the team:

- Experience or a strong interest in financial products is a plus

- Experience with big data concepts HDFS/Data Lake

- Cloud technologies will be desirable.

- Experience in Apache Spark

- Experience in BPMN and user workflow-based systems
