Forward Deployed Engineer [Fixed Term Contract 12 months]

The work location of this role is hybrid meaning it will be performed both from home and from a LinkedIn office on select days as determined by the business needs of the team. 

As a Forward Deployed Engineer you will be a hands-on technical partner working directly with customers to turn complex solutions into production. You will help accelerate deployments remove technical and implementation blockers and drive successful launches of solutions such as MCP deployments. Youll collaborate closely with customers and internal Engineering Product and Solutions teams to solve real-world technical challenges and ensure our technology delivers meaningful impact. This role is ideal for an engineer who thrives in ambiguous environments enjoys working directly with customers and takes end-to-end ownership from implementation through launch. 

Responsibilities:

• Work directly with customers to understand complex business and technical problems and translate them into scalable solutions. 
• Design build test and deploy production-quality software tailored to customer needs. 
• Develop applications APIs integrations data pipelines automation and workflows using modern engineering practices. 
• Partner with customers and internal teams to prototype solutions iterate based on feedback and drive successful implementation. 
• Troubleshoot technical issues and optimize solutions in customer environments. 
• Collaborate closely with Product Engineering Solutions and other cross-functional teams to deliver customer outcomes. 
• Translate ambiguous or evolving requirements into clear technical designs and actionable development plans. 
• Identify common customer challenges and provide feedback to Product and Engineering teams to influence product improvements. 
• Communicate technical concepts solution designs and implementation approaches clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. 
• Take end-to-end ownership of projects from discovery and solution design through development deployment and adoption. 
• Operate effectively in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and a high degree of autonomy. 
• Travel to customer sites when required. 

Qualifications :

Basic Qualifications:

• 5 years of professional software engineering or application development experience. 
• Experience with programming in one or more languages such as Python Java Go C or TypeScript. 
• Experience in building and deploying production-grade software applications APIs integrations or data systems. 
• Knowledge of software development fundamentals databases APIs and distributed systems. 
• Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS Azure or Google Cloud. 
• Analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work through ambiguous and complex technical challenges. 
• Ability to work effectively with customers and cross-functional teams. 
• Ownership adaptability and ability to operate independently in a fast-paced environment. 

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related technical field or equivalent practical experience. 
• Experience in a customer-facing engineering solutions engineering consulting or technical implementation role. 
• Experience working with AI/ML technologies Large Language Models (LLMs) or generative AI applications. 
• Experience building data pipelines analytics platforms or enterprise integrations. 
• Experience with Docker Kubernetes CI/CD and modern DevOps practices. 
• Experience with cloud-native application development and infrastructure. 
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
• Familiarity with system design microservices event-driven architectures and distributed systems. 
• Experience integrating enterprise platforms such as Salesforce SAP ServiceNow or other business applications. 
• Experience taking products or technical solutions from prototype to production. 
• Ability to understand complex business processes and translate them into technical solutions. 
• Experience working in high-growth startups or environments characterized by rapid change and ambiguity.
