Fortinet NGFW Consultant

This is a remote position.

Key Responsibilities

• Deploy configure and manage Fortinet FortiGate firewalls.
  
• Implement and maintain firewall policies NAT VPNs (IPSec/SSL) and security profiles.
  
• Perform firewall health checks upgrades and troubleshooting.
  
• Monitor and optimize network security posture.
  
• Support incident response and security investigations related to network security.
  
• Conduct firewall rule reviews and security assessments.
  
• Work with clients to design and implement secure network architectures.
  
• Prepare technical documentation and implementation reports.
  
• Collaborate with internal security and infrastructure teams.
  

Required Skills & Experience

• Hands-on experience with Fortinet FortiGate NGFW administration.
  
• Strong understanding of routing switching TCP/IP VPNs and network security concepts.
  
• Experience with firewall policy management IPS Web Filtering Application Control and Anti-Malware features.
  
• Ability to troubleshoot complex network and security issues.
  
• Experience with FortiManager and FortiAnalyzer is preferred.
  
• Relevant Fortinet certifications (NSE/FCP/FCSS) are highly desirable.
  
• Strong communication and client-facing skills.
  

Engagement Details

Preferred Experience

• Exposure to SOC operations and security monitoring.
  
• Experience with cloud security environments (AWS Azure or GCP).
  
• Knowledge of compliance frameworks and cybersecurity best practices.
