We are looking for a highly motivated and technically strong Field Applications Engineer (FAE) to support and grow our Aerospace & Defense business in India.

Role Overview

The Field Applications Engineer (FAE) will play a critical role in driving technical engagement with Aerospace & Defense customers by understanding customer challenges architecting solutions supporting evaluations and enabling successful deployment of automated test and validation systems.

This role requires strong technical depth customer-facing capability and the ability to work closely with sales teams system integrators partners and customer engineering organizations. The ideal candidate is passionate about solving complex engineering problems and translating technology into measurable customer outcomes.

In This Role Your Responsibilities Will Be:

• Engage with Aerospace & Defense customers to understand technical requirements and system-level challenges
• Architect and demonstrate solutions for applications involving RF & microwave radar electronic warfare avionics communications embedded systems HIL and automated validation
• Support pre-sales technical activities including customer presentations solution demonstrations workshops benchmarking and proof-of-concepts
• Work closely with Account Managers to drive technical wins and accelerate business growth
• Collaborate with System Integrators and ecosystem partners to support scalable deployment models
• Design and recommend architectures using modular instrumentation PXI platforms automated test software and validation frameworks
• Provide technical consultation on system integration automation strategies and test methodologies
• Support customer onboarding implementation guidance and technical issue resolution
• Work cross-functionally with R&D product teams services and global application engineering teams
• Track emerging Aerospace & Defense technology trends and customer requirements to influence future solution strategies

Who You Are:

You are a proactive strategic problem solver who establishes last relationships and delivers exceptional results. Youre comfortable managing complex accounts and driving account growth at both tactical and strategic levels.

For This Role You Will Need:

• Bachelors degree in Engineering is mandatory (Electronics Electrical ECE Instrumentation Aerospace or related disciplines preferred)
• 610 years of experience in application engineering systems engineering validation or technical consulting within Aerospace & Defense or related industries
• Strong technical understanding of automated test and validation systems
• Experience with RF test radar systems avionics embedded systems communications or HIL environments
• Ability to understand and architect complex system-level solutions
• Strong customer-facing communication and presentation skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with sales teams customers and partners
• Willingness to travel based on project and customer requirements
• Strong problem-solving mindset with technical curiosity
• Ability to engage deeply with customer engineering teams

Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:

• Prior experience withNational Instruments/ Emerson Test & Measurement platforms will be a strong advantage
• Hands-on experience with PXI RF instrumentation DAQ systems or modular test platforms
• Experience with LabVIEW TestStand Python MATLAB or automated test software frameworks
• Familiarity with Aerospace & Defense validation workflows and integration environments
• Experience working with System Integrators or large defense programs is an added advantage
