FEMALE SCHOOL NURSE

We are seeking a compassionate proactive and qualified Female School Nurse to join our Medical Infirmary. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality healthcare services to students promoting student well-being responding to medical emergencies and supporting the schools commitment to safeguarding and holistic student care.

• Provide first aid and emergency medical care to students and staff.
  
• Assess treat and monitor students with illnesses or injuries.
  
• Administer prescribed medications in accordance with physician instructions and school policies.
  
• Maintain accurate and confidential medical records of students.
  
• Monitor students with chronic medical conditions and prepare individualised healthcare plans where required.
  
• Coordinate with doctors hospitals and parents during medical emergencies.
  
• Conduct routine health assessments and health screenings.
  
• Support immunisation and vaccination programmes.
  
• Maintain adequate stock of medicines medical equipment and first aid supplies.
  
• Ensure infection prevention and hygiene protocols are followed.
  
• Educate students on personal hygiene nutrition preventive healthcare and healthy lifestyle practices.
  
• Work collaboratively with counsellors boarding staff teachers and parents to support students physical and emotional well-being.
  
• Assist in implementing health awareness programmes across the school.
  
• Accompany students to hospitals whenever required.
  
• Participate in residential duty schedules school events educational trips and emergency preparedness activities as assigned.
  
• Ensure compliance with school policies safeguarding standards child protection guidelines and statutory healthcare regulations.
  

• . Nursing (Preferred) or GNM from a recognized institution.
  
• Valid Nursing Council Registration.
  
• Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS). ACLS/PALS certification is an added advantage.
  

• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience.
  
• Prior experience in a school boarding school paediatric hospital or student healthcare setting is highly desirable.
  
• Experience handling adolescent health issues minor emergencies and preventive healthcare programmes will be preferred.
  

• Strong clinical assessment and emergency response skills.
  
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  
• Empathetic patient and student-friendly approach.
  
• Ability to remain calm during emergencies.
  
• Knowledge of infection control and medication management.
  
• Strong documentation and record-keeping skills.
  
• Proficiency in MS Office and electronic medical records is desirable.
  
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
