Job Summary
accountant manages and reports an organizations financial transactions to ensure accuracy regulatory compliance and financial health. They drive strategic business decisions by analyzing financial data conducting audits preparing tax documents and forecasting ResponsibilitiesFinancial Reporting: Prepare and maintain key financial statements including balance sheets income statements and cash flow & Auditing: Reconcile bank and ledger statements; conduct internal audits to identify discrepancies or Management: Compute prepare and file corporate or personal tax returns while ensuring compliance with local and federal tax & Forecasting: Monitor cash flow assist in budget creation and develop financial forecasts to support company & Payroll: Oversee accounts payable/receivable process payroll and manage ledger Skills & RequirementsTechnical Proficiency: Mastery of accounting software (e.g. Tally QuickBooks SAP NetSuite) and advanced Microsoft Excel Thinking: Strong mathematical aptitude and the ability to interpret complex financial data to spot trends and & Certifications: Bachelors degree in Accounting Commerce or Finance. Certifications like CPA (Certified Public Accountant) CA (Chartered Accountant) or ACCA are highly preferred.
Required Skills:
Work experience as an Accountant. Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures including the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) Hands-on experience with accounting software like FreshBooks and QuickBooks. Advanced MS Excel skills including Vlookups and pivot tables.
