As an Expeditor II with Worley you will work closely with our existing team to deliver projects for our clients while continuing to develop your skills and experience etc.

  • You will be responsible for sourcing negotiating and purchasing goods and services for the organization.
  • You will work closely with suppliers evaluate product quality and pricing and ensure timely delivery to meet the companys needs.
  • Prepare and issue requests for quotations (RFQs) to potential suppliers.
  • Follow-up with bidders for bid acknowledgment expediting for timely submission of bids resolving bidder queries technical deviation requests etc. if any.
  • Evaluate supplier proposals and establish favorable terms and conditions.
  • Conduct supplier performance assessments and maintain supplier relationships.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering Projects and Client to ensure procurement requirements are met.
  • Utilize procurement software and systems to streamline procurement processes and maintain accurate records.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant procurement policies regulations and ethical practices.
  • Updating and Maintaining Purchase Control Sheet sharing with relevant Project Stakeholders.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and Organize Kick-Off Meetings.
  • Establishing Initial Contact through email organizing Kick-Off Meetings to discuss critical documents as per Vendor document delivery schedule (VDDS) critical sub-ordering and Order Execution plan.
  • Regular follow-up with supplier for documentation and material status.
  • Expediting with internal team for approval of critical documents.
  • Co-ordination between supplier and technical team wherever required.
  • Ensuring procurement and manufacturing activities are being carried out as per schedule.
  • Creating and Maintaining Material Status Reports (MSR) for all orders.
  • Attending Weekly / Monthly meeting and respond to queries raised.
  • Material Tracking and Furnish required support till delivery of the Material.
  • Review Deliverables to be issued to client.
  • Guide and develop new joiners / GETs and provide required Training for procurement activities of PSU projects.

About You

To be considered for this role it is envisaged you will possess the following attributes:

Required Qualifications:

  • Education:
    • A degree in Engineering (Mechanical/Chemical/Civil) or Diploma Holder with extensive experience along with specialization in Procurement Department in Petrochemical / Energy Sector.
  • Experience:
    • A minimum of 12 to 15 years experience in procurement purchasing or supply chain management within the oil and gas industry Chemical Industrial project in the capacity of Senior Buyer / Expeditor at least for 3 years preferably in a consulting or project-based environment.

Job Specific Skills (knowledge experience capabilities systems):

  • Knowledge of equipment/items required in Petrochemical industries.

  • Proficiency in relevant software and tools will be an added advantage. (Aconex ERM Excel Power BI).
