PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

To look after the tooling activities in a section of the manufacturing process so as to fulfill the production requirements.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES OF THE ROLE

Key responsibilities attached to the role:

To adhere to monthly tooling provision plan in line with PPC plan.

Responsible for tooling activities in all the processes i.e. Ring Forming Hobbing & Induction Hardening.

Planning activities for P.M. & new tooling procurement.

Critical spare management.

Responsible to control tooling-related breakdowns.

Responsible to train the new associates in Tool Room department.

Responsible for reduction in tool cost i.e. Hobs & Tooth Chamfer Cutters.

Financial Accountability (with exclusive authority): NA

Geographical Scope: Sinnar

SECTION VII: KNOWLEDGE EXPERIENCE SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Education Qualification:

BE / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.

Technical & Professional Knowledge Required:

Tooling-related knowledge.

Knowledge of SMED.

Knowledge of Hobbing and Induction Hardening processes.

AutoCAD knowledge.

Hob & Cutter tool-related knowledge.

Experience Required:

12 years of experience in the following:

Tooling activities.

Training operators/associates.

Knowledge of tool repairing maintenance P.M. & AutoCAD.

Essential RLC for the Role:

Team Management.

Time Management.

Self-Motivated.
