About the role.

What youll be doing.

The position is responsible for:

• Identifying and developing new isolated geographies for potato seed multiplication
• Seed production of Generation 2 & 3 through Contract Farming Model.
• Achieving yield targets maintaining quality of the seed & forecasting yields

Role & Responsibilities:

• Selecting new geographies for Seed Multiplication which are in isolation from ware potato crop and having good yield potential
• Skill development of growers for doing quality seed multiplication
• Selecting best growers for the seed multiplication through contract farming
• Establish Strong relationships with both current and new growers
• Planning for Planting and procurement from farmers of targeted quantity and quality
• Advises growers on crop management advising on problems and alternative solutions providing technical and planning assistance as per companys guidelines
• Build capability of growers to increase the yields Through trainings and visits
• Record and capture accurate crop data in company authorized software for real time reporting and analytics
• Forecasting potential losses in crops through weather pests or diseases and making the plan to mitigate them

What youll need to be successful.

• Must have: An Agriculture graduate with 2-5 years of experience in agriculture industry preferably contract farming and production of agriculture commodities
• Nice to have: Masters / MBA (Agriculture) with 3-5 years of experience in potato contract farming
• Should manage conflict resolution situations both within the team function and with outside suppliers and seek win/win solutions
