Event Program Manager , AWS Global Events

The Event Program Manager will execute end-to-end operations and delivery of specific event workstreams or programs within AWSs event portfolio. This role requires strong program management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities while ensuring high-quality delivery. You will be responsible for implementing event strategies across various disciplines (e.g. content operations platforms live event production online events and specialized audience programs) and playing a key role in onsite execution.

Key job responsibilities
Program Management & Execution
Support the end-to-end delivery of assigned event workstreams or programs (examples: content operations platform management expo areas audience-specific programs online events)
Manage day-to-day program activities including timeline development and stakeholder coordination
Create and maintain project documentation and status reporting
Coordinate with vendors and internal teams for successful delivery
Own specific onsite responsibilities during live events

Event Planning & Delivery
Implement standardized processes from the Global Event Centre of Excellence
Coordinate event logistics within assigned workstream
Ensure consistent delivery quality across program elements
Support budget tracking and reconciliation
Manage onsite teams and vendors during event execution
Troubleshoot and resolve issues during live events

Stakeholder Coordination
Act as primary liaison between stakeholders vendors and internal teams
Manage regular communications and status updates
Coordinate with regional teams to ensure local relevance while maintaining global standards
Gather and incorporate stakeholder feedback
Support stakeholder needs during onsite execution

Operations & Measurement
Implement standard operating procedures and best practices
Support data collection and reporting for program metrics
Lead post-event analysis and documentation
Contribute to process improvement initiatives
Maintain program documentation and playbooks


A day in the life
As our Event Program Manager youll be at the heart of AWSs event execution coordinating across multiple teams vendors and stakeholders to deliver world-class experiences. Your day might involve managing project timelines for an upcoming Summit coordinating with platform vendors on registration setup aligning content operations with speaker management teams preparing onsite run-of-show documents or conducting post-event debriefs to capture insights and drive continuous improvement.

From large-scale Summits and re:Invent to executive programs and online events our team manages the full spectrum of event workstreams including content operations platform management expo areas live event production audience programs and event registration. As an Event Program Manager you will be a critical driver of operational excellence ensuring seamless execution across multiple event disciplines. Youll collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners to deliver innovative high-impact experiences that inspire customers and showcase AWSs leadership in cloud and AI. - Experience with strong project management skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Experience prioritizing and handling multiple assignments at any given time while maintaining commitment to deadlines
- Experience communicating clearly and concisely with leadership stakeholders and cross-functional teams
- Bachelors degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience
- 5 years of experience in event management or related field
- Experience supporting live event execution
- Experience with event management tools and technologies

- Experience with technology industry events (3000 attendees)
- Understanding of specific event disciplines (content operations platforms)
- Experience with virtual and hybrid event formats
- International event experience
- Knowledge of event registration and marketing automation platforms
