We are Sisco Jobs a recruitment consultancy based in Trichy Tamil Nadu. We are currently hiring on behalf of our client for the position of Estimation Manager located in Chennai Tamil Nadu. Our client is a reputed organization in the Construction & EPC sector looking for skilled and motivated professionals to join their growing team. Key Responsibilities

  • Review and validate project cost estimates covering labour materials equipment subcontracting and indirect costs.
  • Analyze engineering drawings procurement specifications and construction documents for accurate project budgeting.
  • Prepare and evaluate detailed quantity take-offs received from pre-bid engineering teams.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors and vendors to obtain competitive techno-commercial quotations.
  • Conduct comparative analysis of supplier and subcontractor bids against self-performed estimates.
  • Maintain historical cost databases and support strategic cost benchmarking activities.
  • Collaborate with Planning QA/QC HSE Procurement and Execution teams during bid preparation stages.
  • Assist the Estimation Head in preparing comprehensive tender submissions and commercial proposals.

Required Skills

  1. Cost Estimation & Budgeting Expertise in preparing accurate project estimates and commercial evaluations.
  2. Quantity Take-Off Analysis Ability to interpret engineering drawings and BOQs effectively.
  3. Tendering & RFQ Preparation Strong experience preparing subcontractor and supplier RFQs.
  4. Vendor & Subcontractor Evaluation Skilled in techno-commercial bid analysis and negotiations.
  5. Construction Project Coordination Ability to work with multiple departments during project bidding.

Preferred Skills

  • Knowledge of ERP/Estimation software tools
  • Exposure to EPC and industrial construction projects
  • Strong stakeholder communication and negotiation skills

Work Experience Requirements

Candidates should possess 1015 years of experience in estimation and costing within EPC infrastructure or construction industries. Experience handling large-scale industrial or commercial construction bids is highly preferred. The ideal candidate should thrive in fast-paced project environments with strong analytical and coordination abilities.

Education

Minimum: B.E / in Civil or Mechanical Engineering
Preferred: / MBA Project Management
Additional: Certifications in Cost Engineering Quantity Surveying or Project Management preferred

Required Skills:

Strong knowledge of construction materials MEP systems and fit-out specifications. Understanding of project execution strategies and procurement planning. Proficiency in ERP software for procurement tracking and reporting. Hands-on experience in managing LPO cycles (Open & Closed LPOs). Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (MS Word Excel). Excellent vendor negotiation and relationship management skills. Strong organizational and time management abilities. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight project deadlines. Effective communication skills in English and Hindi.
