Job Summary

Bridge & Structural Design

  • Perform structural analysis and design of railway bridges viaducts flyovers underpasses culverts retaining walls and associated transportation structures.
  • Develop concept preliminary and detailed design solutions for rail infrastructure projects.
  • Prepare design calculations technical reports specifications and design documentation.
  • Carry out bridge assessments load-rating studies and rehabilitation designs for existing structures.
  • Undertake finite element analysis and structural modelling for complex bridge systems.

Project Delivery

  • Deliver projects in accordance with quality schedule and budget requirements.
  • Coordinate with geotechnical track drainage highways BIM and construction disciplines.
  • Review contractor submissions shop drawings and construction methodologies.
  • Provide technical support during construction and respond to site engineering queries.
  • Participate in design reviews value engineering exercises and risk assessments.

Technical Leadership

  • Interpret and integrate data from multidisciplinary teams.
  • Develop alternative engineering solutions to optimize project outcomes.
  • Review calculations and drawings prepared by junior engineers.
  • Support project managers in planning and technical coordination activities.

Required Technical Skills:

  • Structural analysis and design of reinforced concrete prestressed concrete steel and composite bridges.
  • Experience in railway and/or highway bridge projects.
  • Knowledge of bridge inspection assessment strengthening and rehabilitation.
  • Understanding of complete project life cycle from feasibility to detailed design and construction support.
  • Familiarity with international bridge design standards including:
    • Eurocodes
    • AASHTO
    • AREMA
    • ACI
    • Rail authority standards such as Network Rail or RDSO

Performs specific and limited portions of a broader assignment of an experienced engineer.
Gathers and correlates basic engineering data using established and well-defined procedures.
Works on detailed or routine engineering assignments involving calculations and relatively simple tests.
Proposes approach to solve new problems encountered. Identifies discrepancies in results.
Provides guidance to entry level engineers.
Performs work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule with moderate supervision.


Qualifications :

 Total 2-5 Years experience

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Civil Engineering with specialization in Structural Engineering.
  • Experience in bridge and transportation infrastructure design.
  • Experience in rail projects metro systems high-speed rail or transportation structures preferred.
  • Strong communication technical report writing and stakeholder coordination skills.
