Job Description Summary
Responsible for performing basic and detailed design calculations and specifications for Generator Auxiliaries systems. The role also includes preparing reviewing and checking final manufacturing drawings and Bills of Materials (BoM) prepared by support detail design engineers or suppliers to ensure technical accuracy completeness and compliance with project requirements.Job Description
Role & Responsibilities
- To understand the specification of the project product customer requirement Generator operating parameters and operating sequences of Hydro power plant
- Perform Basic Design and calculations for Generator auxiliary systems such as Braking Lifting Thrust bearing oil injection Oil mist exhaust Brake dust exhaust Carbon dust exhaust Air-water Coolers Oil-water coolers for bearings their pipings layout and arrangement drawings.
- Prepare technical specifications arrangement & part drawings specifying design requirements
- Manage and execute work-packages with detail design engineers
- Working with suppliers for defining improving or cost out during design phase
- Support to Supply chain during execution phase.

Qualifications
- Educational Requirements: B. E. (Mechanical)
- At least 3 years in design of Hydro Generator auxiliary systems. Total experience desired > 5 years
- Experienced in understanding engineering requirements of Hydro Generator
- Applied knowledge of Mechanical and Electrical engg Piping standards Heat exchangers
- Experienced in preparing design specifications for components mentioned in responsibilities
- Experienced in Design & Engineering Processes
- Good level in MS Office Application
- User Level SAP System PLM (CORELLA)
- Experienced in CAD tools preferably AUTOCAD and UG NX
