Engine Technician

Job Duties / Responsibilities may include but not limited to:

• Daily visit to Machine facilities located near Tiruvallur Tami Nadu India
• Meet with design / quality engineers to discuss and align on activities for that day
• As per instructions conduct inspections measurements and basic functional checks to verify the quality of engines.
• If quality issues are identified promptly notify the team perform root cause analysis identify and implement solution with necessary disassembly and assembly in line with IPSD-M standards and work instructions.
• Responsible for capturing and providing complete details to engineering team to accurately document quality issues including problem description actions taken and impacted engines.
• Effectively collaborate with Engineering quality and manufacturing teams during execution of assigned activities.
• Should use appropriate tools and equipment to carry out required tasks in accordance with standard procedures.

• Should perform all tasks meeting quality and safety standards within the expected period. Must always follow EHS quality and compliance requirements.
• Maintain tools fixtures and work areas in compliance with safety and housekeeping standards.

Background / Experience Required:

• ITI / Diploma / Technical certification in Mechanical or Automotive engineering
• Working knowledge of all diesel engine components and systems including fuel system air systems lubrication cooling structures and after-treatment systems.
• Proven Hands-on experience of assembly disassembly repair and rework of diesels engines with after-treatment systems (DOC/DPF/SCR). Familiarity with engine control systems error code diagnostics and troubleshooting techniques.
• Ability to read interpret and follow engineering drawings service manuals troubleshooting guides and standard work instructions.
• Proficient in handling various tools that will be used to assemble disassemble rework and repair engine components/systems.
• Should stay near Tiruvallur and travel to Machine facilities on daily basis.
