Electronics & Electrical Engineer Robotics (Oil & Gas Asset Integrity)
Key Responsibilities
- Robotic Development: Design develop and integrate electronic systems sensors and power systems into robotic crawlers and inspection platforms.
- Electronics Troubleshooting: Perform diagnostics circuit troubleshooting and maintenance of existing inspection robots.
- Field Deployment: Support field deployment on-site commissioning and operation of robotic NDT equipment at refineries offshore platforms and tank farms.
- Sensor Calibration: Work closely with NDT technicians to calibrate ultrasonic acoustic and visual sensors to accurately detect flaws and corrosion.
- Safety & Compliance: Ensure all electronic and electrical designs comply with hazardous environment safety standards (e.g. ATEX/PESO certifications).
- Technical Documentation: Prepare test reports schematic designs and system performance logs for cross-functional review.
Qualifications :
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: / B.E. in Electrical Engineering Electronics Engineering Mechatronics or a related field.
- Experience: 1 to 5 years of hands-on experience in industrial automation embedded systems or oil & gas instrumentation.
- Hardware & Programming: Proficiency in working with microcontrollers and development boards (e.g. Arduino Raspberry Pi STM32) and associated motor drivers.
- Communication Protocols: Familiarity with industrial communication protocols such as CAN Modbus RS-485 and Ethernet.
- Physical & Field Requirements: Must be comfortable working in industrial environments and supporting site inspections which may require travel.
- NDT Familiarity: Prior experience or willingness to learn NDT methodologies (e.g. Ultrasonic Testing) and industry codes is a strong plus).
