Electrical Purchase Engineer

Position: Purchase Engineer – Electrical

Location: Rajkot

JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking an experienced and result-oriented Electrical Purchase Engineer to manage procurement

activities for electrical projects. The candidate will be responsible for sourcing vendor management

procurement planning cost optimization and timely availability of materials to ensure smooth project

execution. The ideal candidate should possess strong commercial knowledge excellent negotiation skills and

hands-on experience in electrical project procurement.

QUALIFICATION

Diploma / in Electrical Engineering

Mechanical Engineering Electronics

Engineering or related discipline.

EXPERIENCE

5 to 8 years of relevant experience in Electrical

Purchasing and Procurement.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Handle end-to-end procurement activities for electrical projects.

Identify evaluate and develop reliable vendors and suppliers.

Float RFQs collect quotations and prepare comparative statements (CS).

Negotiate prices delivery schedules and commercial terms with vendors.

Issue Purchase Orders (POs) and ensure timely delivery of materials.

Coordinate with project engineering and site teams for material requirements.

Monitor inventory levels and ensure optimum stock availability.

Maintain procurement records purchase documentation and vendor databases.

Track material deliveries and resolve supply-related issues.

Ensure procurement activities comply with project specifications and company policies.

Conduct market research to identify new products suppliers and cost-saving opportunities.

Prepare procurement schedules and monitor procurement progress.

Coordinate with accounts and stores departments for invoice processing and material reconciliation.

Ensure timely procurement to meet project deadlines and avoid delays.

Develop cost-effective procurement strategies while maintaining quality standards.

REQUIREMENTS

Strong knowledge of electrical materials such as cables cable trays conduits switchgear transformers

lighting fixtures panels earthing materials and related accessories.

Hands-on experience in procurement for large-scale Electrical/EPC projects.

Ability to read and understand technical specifications drawings and BOQs.

Excellent negotiation analytical and problem-solving skills.

Proficiency in MS Office ERP/SAP systems and procurement software.

Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively.

Strong interpersonal and vendor management skills.

PROJECT EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
