Position: EHS / HSE Officer

Role Overview

We are looking for an EHS professional with 3-5 years of experience in corporate interior fit-out projects. The candidate will be responsible for implementing safety policies conducting risk assessments ensuring regulatory compliance managing site safety and maintaining a safe working environment across the project.

Key Responsibilities

Safety Policy Development & Implementation

• Develop and implement safety policies and procedures.
• Ensure all project activities comply with company HSE plans rules and procedures.
• Provide safety induction to new employees regarding company safety policies and procedures.

Risk Assessment & Hazard Control

• Conduct risk assessments and implement appropriate hazard-control measures.
• Ensure that hazards and risks are highlighted during regular work activities and new work.
• Ensure Toolbox Talks are conducted regularly by the concerned foreman/supervisor.
• Implement and monitor the Permit-to-Work (PTW) system at the site.

Incident Investigation & Emergency Response

• Coordinate incident/accident response including first aid rescue evacuation investigation and reporting.
• Conduct incident investigation and Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
• Immediately report all reportable incidents/accidents to the HSE Department.
• Ensure safe access and egress for all employees as per Emergency Plans.
• Support emergency response and disaster management activities.

Safety Training & Awareness

• Conduct safety induction and awareness programs for employees.
• Develop and distribute safety posters signs slogans bulletins and other safety communication materials.
• Promote safety awareness and compliance across the project/site.

PPE & Site Safety Compliance

• Ensure all personnel use the required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Monitor PPE compliance and take corrective action wherever required.
• Inspect all working platforms for their security and safety.
• Conduct regular site safety inspections and ensure compliance with safety standards.

Environmental Sustainability & Waste Management

• Ensure good housekeeping is maintained throughout the site.
• Ensure 5S practices are followed across all areas of the site.
• Ensure compliance with waste management plans.
• Support environmental sustainability and waste management initiatives.

Documentation Reporting & Compliance

• Prepare and maintain daily safety data and records.
• Maintain safety-related documentation and reports.
• Ensure compliance with applicable safety regulations standards and company requirements.
• Prepare and submit safety reports as required.
