About the role
We are seeking a strategic and operational leader to oversee Digital Technology across our factories in Asia and the Middle East. This role will lead a regional network of Factory IT Site Leaders and drive standardization operational excellence and digital transformation across all plants in scope.
This leader will build a high-performing regional organization of Factory Digital Leaders ensuring technology becomes a strategic enabler for manufacturing excellence operational resilience and business growth. The role partners closely with Manufacturing Supply Chain Engineering Quality Global Digital COEs and Business Leadership to define and execute a multi-year digital transformation roadmap aligned with enterprise objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute the regional Digital Technology strategy aligned with the enterprise manufacturing vision and business priorities.
- Serve as the trusted technology advisor to regional manufacturing and supply chain leadership.
- Drive long-term digital transformation initiatives that enable Smart Factory capabilities across the region.
- Lead technology governance and investment planning to maximize business value.
- Enforce the EDPS operating model governance cadence and performance management framework across all sites.
- Ensure alignment with global Digital / IT strategy standards and cybersecurity requirements.
- Act as the primary escalation and decision point for critical IT incidents impacting factory operations.
- Drive standardized processes across factories spanning production quality planning logistics and maintenance.
- Eliminate site-by-site variation by enforcing common templates architectures and best practices.
- Lead cross-site benchmarking to identify optimization opportunities and replicate best practices.
- Promote Carrier Excellence CX principles in IT processes to improve reliability and efficiency.
- Partner with global manufacturing and supply chain digital teams to deploy enterprise platforms including MES ERP analytics and related capabilities.
- Ensure consistent adoption of digital solutions across all sites with measurable business outcomes such as OEE downtime cost and quality.
- Oversee regional digital roadmap execution and ensure alignment with site priorities and global strategy.
- Drive training adoption and change management across factories.
- Establish an end-to-end view of factory operations across the region.
- Enable standardized data models and reporting frameworks for performance visibility.
- Ensure integration across systems supporting manufacturing and supply chain operations.
- Promote data-driven decision-making and real-time operational insights.
- Ensure high availability and performance of factory systems infrastructure and shopfloor technologies.
- Drive disciplined incident management root cause analysis and preventive actions for critical events.
- Oversee vendor performance SLAs anCSAME Digital d managed services supporting factory operations.
- Ensure lifecycle management of applications and infrastructure aligned with global strategy.
- Lead development of a multi-year digital factory roadmap for the region.
- Align investments with business priorities operational constraints and global platforms.
- Build and prioritize business cases for digital initiatives including ROI cost and resource requirements.
- Partner with senior leadership to define the long-term vision for digital manufacturing.
- Work closely with Manufacturing Operations Leaders Supply Chain Leadership Global Digital COEs Engineering and Quality teams.
- Act as the bridge between business operations and digital / IT teams.
- Ensure technology solutions directly enable production throughput quality and cost objectives.
- Build strong relationships with factory and BU leaders across cultures and geographies.
- Develop IT Site Leaders into business-oriented operations-first leaders.
- Establish a culture of accountability continuous improvement and operational excellence.
- Be highly present in factories driving credibility through operational engagement.
Requirements
- 15 years of experience in IT digital or technology leadership within manufacturing or supply chain environments.
- Proven experience leading multi-site or regional operations.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing operations including production quality logistics and planning.
- Experience implementing enterprise platforms such as MES ERP analytics and automation.
- Demonstrated ability to drive standardization and transformation at scale.
Experience in IT/OT convergence in industrial environments.
Lean / Six Sigma background applied to IT or operations.
Experience managing large distributed global teams.
Strong financial acumen and business case development experience.
