This role offers an opportunity to work directly with the client understand their unique requirements and provide tailored solutions.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain efficient scalable and secure data pipelines using Databricks and SQL.
- Collaborate with the client to gather and analyze requirements ensuring a deep understanding of their needs.
- Implement and optimize data processing and transformation processes using SSIS and Databricks.
- Ensure data integrity and quality by implementing robust data validation techniques.
- Perform application performance tuning and optimization to enhance overall system efficiency.
- Provide post-production support and promptly address any issues or bugs that arise.
- Work closely with the development team to integrate data engineering solutions into the overall application architecture.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies especially in the retail domain.
- Document and maintain clear and concise technical documentation for future reference.
- Actively participate in knowledge-sharing sessions and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
Qualifications
- 6 to 8 years of experience in software development with a strong focus on SQL SSIS and Databricks.
- Proven experience in retail client engagement and a track record of delivering successful projects.
- Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in a dynamic team environment.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and a results-driven approach.
- Proficiency in data modeling database design and data warehousing concepts.
- Experience with cloud-based data platforms and an understanding of cloud computing principles.
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and a willingness to adapt to changing project requirements.
- Good communication skills both written and verbal to effectively interact with clients and team members.
- A proactive and self-motivated attitude with a passion for continuous learning and improvement.
- A relevant bachelors or masters degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related field.
