Job Description
Role Summary
We are looking for a skilled DB2 Administratorto manage maintain and optimize DB2 database environments across development testing and production systems. The role involves database administration performance tuning backup & recovery and ensuring high availability.
Technical Skills
Core Skills
- Strong hands-on experience in IBM DB2 LUW / DB2 z/OS
- Expertise in:
- DB2 installation configuration and patching
- Backup & recovery (Image copy restore rollforward)
- Performance tuning and query optimization
- Experience with DB2 utilities (REORG RUNSTATS LOAD etc.)
- Good knowledge of SQL and database design
Advanced Skills (Preferred L3)
- Experience with Replication (Q Replication / CDC)
- High availability & DR setups (HADR)
- Automation using scripting (Shell / REXX)
- Monitoring tools (OEM Tivoli etc.)
