Job Summary
Technical Skills/Requirements:
1-2 years of Experience in database administration DB2 z/OS database administration
tasks
Perform DB2 z/OS basic database administration tasks.
Perform database upgrades and patches with SMP/E
Tune/Modify database definitions (DDL Configuration Parameters DASD/SAN space).
Technical consultation and troubleshooting
Assist programmers/operators with error/abend diagnosis resolution.
Analyze and review SQL.
Interact with other IT and Business employees in a courteous and respectful manner.
Capable of directing contractor resources
Demonstrated experience in database administration skills of IBM DB2 z/0S on any of
the versions v9 v10 v11 v12
Exposure to JCL TSO ISPF
Experience with VSAM RACF
Analytical problem solving mindset and good communication skills.
Experience with IBM Database tools.
Experience with any other database technology a plus.
