Data Engineering Analyst

Cigna International Health is seeking a motivated Data Engineering Analyst to support the development maintenance and optimization of cloud-based data and AI solutions. This role will contribute to building scalable secure and reliable data platforms that enable business insights analytics automation and AI-driven capabilities.

The ideal candidate will collaborate with senior engineers and product teams to develop high-quality solutions write clean and maintainable code and support the successful delivery of data engineering initiatives aligned with business objectives.

• Develop enhance and maintain cloud-based data solutions and pipelines.
• Support the implementation of AI and data platform capabilities under the guidance of senior engineers.
• Write clean efficient and maintainable code following established development standards and best practices.
• Assist in designing and optimizing ETL/ELT workflows and data processing solutions.
• Participate in troubleshooting monitoring and improving platform reliability and performance.

• Work closely with product owners business stakeholders and engineering teams to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
• Contribute to project execution ensuring deliverables meet quality and timeline expectations.
• Participate in code reviews testing activities and deployment processes.
• Support the implementation of secure scalable and well-governed cloud solutions.

• Learn and adopt emerging technologies cloud services and AI capabilities.
• Contribute ideas for automation optimization and process improvements.
• Participate in knowledge-sharing sessions and team collaboration activities.

• 2-5 years of experience in software engineering data engineering with a strong record in cloud-native data solutions.
• Experience working with cloud platforms preferably AWS.
• Familiarity with AWS services such as S3 Lambda IAM API Gateway or similar cloud technologies.
• Exposure to Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Experience with data engineering technologies such as AWS Glue Spark Databricks or equivalent.
• Proficiency in SQL for data analysis and transformation.
• Working knowledge of Python for automation and data processing.
• Familiarity with source control and CI/CD practices using tools such as GitHub Actions Jenkins or GitLab CI.
• Exposure to GenAI platforms such as AWS Bedrock Azure AI or similar technologies is a plus.
• Experience using AI productivity tools and basic prompt engineering techniques is desirable.

• Good communication skills with the ability to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Eagerness to learn new technologies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Data Engineering Software Engineering Information Technology or a related field.

• Understanding of Agile development methodologies.
• Exposure to Jira or similar project management tools.
• Knowledge of data governance security and cloud best practices.
• Experience working with global teams or healthcare/insurance domains is an advantage.
